Frequently asked questions

What does Brieful actually produce?+

A confirmed list of use cases, structured requirements, screen specifications (fields, actions, business rules), process-flow diagrams, a clickable HTML prototype per use case, and QA test cases for each use case, all exportable to Word or Markdown.

Do I need to write requirements myself?+

No. Brieful interviews you with focused questions and writes the structured requirements from your answers. A live coverage meter shows when the essentials are covered, so you know when you're done instead of guessing. You review and edit, but you never start from a blank page.

Can I start from an existing document?+

Yes. Upload a requirements doc, gap analysis, or notes (PDF, Word, or text) and Brieful extracts the use cases and existing requirements before the interview. If your document only describes a problem, add a one-line build goal and Brieful proposes the system that solves it.

Can I use Brieful just for a quick demo, not a full spec?+

Yes. When you start a project you choose a scope: Presales demo for a fast, convincing walkthrough with the fewest questions, MVP for a core build, or Full spec for a complete, build-ready document. Brieful tunes how deep the interview goes to match, and you can change scope anytime.

How do I demo a prototype to stakeholders?+

Open a prototype in Present mode. It highlights exactly what's clickable on each screen and shows a 'next steps' bar of where every screen leads, drawn from the prototype's own flow, so navigating a live demo is effortless. You can also download any prototype as a standalone HTML file.

Can I use Brieful to create RFPs or proposals?+

Brieful gives you the scoped, professional package an RFP is built from: a structured requirements document, scoped use cases, and a clickable prototype. There's no dedicated RFP generator, but agencies use these outputs both to author RFPs for clients and to respond to them with credible proposals. Start in Presales demo scope to win the work, then expand to a full spec to deliver it.

Does Brieful generate test cases?+

Yes. For each use case it generates traceable QA test cases (happy path, negative, edge, and role/permission scenarios) in step-based or Gherkin format, linked to the requirements they verify. Export them to CSV for Jira/Xray, TestRail, or Azure DevOps, or include them in the requirements document.

Are the domain knowledge packs verified by experts?+

Each pack is labelled by trust level. 'Expert-verified' packs have been reviewed by a person; 'AI-generated · beta' packs are drafted by advanced AI as a fast starting point and are not yet independently validated by a subject-matter expert. Both are clearly marked when you pick one, and every suggestion a pack contributes is something you confirm or edit — so you stay in control. Treat AI-generated packs (especially any compliance or regulatory points) as a head start to verify, not the final word.

Can I track changes or freeze a version for sign-off?+

Yes. Every project has a History panel with an activity timeline of what changed and who changed it, plus Baselines — named snapshots of your requirements. Freeze a baseline for client sign-off, compare it against the live project to see exactly what's been added, removed, or changed since, and restore any snapshot. Restores are reversible: your current version is auto-saved as a baseline first.

What file formats can I export?+

A full requirements document as Word (.docx) or Markdown, with screen tables, flow diagrams, and test cases embedded. Test cases also export to CSV for test-management tools. Prototypes download as standalone HTML files.

Is my data private?+

Your documents and projects are tied to your account and visible only to you (and an administrator for support). We don't sell your data. Prototypes run in a sandboxed frame in your browser.

How accurate is it?+

Brieful uses leading AI models to draft requirements and designs. It's a powerful first draft and thinking partner, and you stay in control, reviewing and refining everything before it ships.

Can I keep working on a project later?+

Yes. Projects persist. You can add use cases at any time and continue across multiple sessions, picking up exactly where you left off.

Can my team collaborate?+

Yes. Create a shared workspace and invite teammates by email. Everyone can work on the same projects, with roles (owner, admin, member) controlling who manages the team and billing. Live presence shows who's viewing, concurrent edits are protected so no one overwrites anyone's work, and the design library is shared across the team.

How much does it cost?+

Brieful is free during early access, subject to a fair-use monthly limit. Paid plans with higher limits will come later.
